PETAL
Petal raises $13M in Series A Funding
From David Ehrich
Petal, a New York-based financial technology company using cash flow to underwrite a new consumer credit card, raised $13M in Series A funding. Valar Ventures led the round.
Petal is a different kind of credit card company. Petal looks at the money you make and the bills you already pay to help you qualify instantly — no credit scores required. That means you can get a great credit card and start building your credit score, even if Petal is your first credit card. Petal was started to give credit to people who deserve it — and made it honest, simple, and accessible. Petal cuts through all the fine print, ditched the fees, and created a credit card that makes your life a little easier.
